Elopements tend to be shorter and more intimate, while full weddings may include readings, personal vows, or cultural elements.

It can really be as short or as long as you wish. I have had elopements where the couple have spoken vows that took 15 minutes each and large weddings where is was all over in 10 minutes. It is completely up to you.

Yes — I specialise in ceremonies across Central Otago, Wanaka, Cromwell, Queenstown, and the rest of Otago. I am very happy to travel further a field too.

Travel within the Cromwell area is usually included in elopement packages. For further locations, I’ll provide a clear travel quote upfront.

Unfortunately I am only allowed to perform legal ceremonies in New Zealand and not overseas at this stage.

We always need to have a backup plan in place.

This could be a sheltered location, marquee, or simply embracing the weather (which can actually make for incredible photos). I’ll help you think this through during planning so nothing feels stressful on the day.

For most elopements and small weddings, a rehearsal isn’t necessary.

For larger or more structured weddings, I offer rehearsals as an add-on to help everyone feel confident and relaxed.

I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak seasons (summer and autumn in Central Otago).

That said, if you’re planning something spontaneous — reach out! I thrive on creating last-minute elopements.

To get married in NZ, you need to:

Absolutely! I call them your “Bridesmaids” as they are there to help you with your dress train, to throw rose petals, blow bubbles, wrangle kids or any other wee job that needs doing, as well and signing the paperwork.
